The Outlier Alerts page provides a view into the demand sensing capabilities that exist in history correction. The page features breaches by product as the main driver of correction.

You can specify a product and customer from the context selectors at the top right of the page.

Parameters are normally set by a System Administrator at the global level, and are displayed in the Effective Parameters panel. They apply to all product customer combinations. You can change the parameter values for a product and customer combination by setting values in the Edit Parameters panel.

ParametersValues
Number of Periods to AnalyzeSpecifies the number of periods to include in the analysis.
Alert: Percentage of Outlier Periods %

Note: When adjusting parameters for a product and customer combination, the changes are not applied globally.

The Count of Products with Outlier Alerts card displays a table with the total number of breaches up, breaches down, and combined breaches for all products. The card provides a snapshot of outlier alerts without needing to dig deeper into the products themselves.

The Count of Alerts by Product card displays a table with the total number of breaches up, breaches down, breaches up %, breaches down %, and alerts for each product. The card provides a snapshot of the products to correct based on the parameters set.

Parameters are normally set by a system administrator at a global level, and are displayed in the Effective Parameters (from History Correction) card. They apply to all product customer combinations. You can override the parameter values locally by setting values in the Edit Parameters (from History Correction) card.

ParametersValues
Correct From

Specifies the baseline for correction. With From Mean or From Trend Line, the values are calculated using periodic data starting from the product’s effective date and ending with the last effective period:

  • Off: Prevents the application from calculating outliers for correction.
  • From Mean: Calculates outliers based on values greater than x standard deviations from the Mean.
  • From Trend: Calculates outliers based on values greater than x standard deviations from the Trend line.
  • From Trend Seasonal: Calculates outliers based on values greater than x standard deviations from the Trend Seasonal line.
Outlier MagnitudeSpecifies the number of standard deviations from the mean (or standard errors from the trend line) that determine an outlier. A value of 2 highlights data points more than two standard deviations from the mean (or standard errors from the trendline) as outliers.

The Breaches Up, Breaches Down, and Alerts cards display the number of breaches and alerts.

The Outlier Alerts chart displays the values below:

  • Chained History (U): Displays the sum of Selected History (U) and Inherited History(U).
  • Mean (U): Displays the standard mean calculation.
  • Trend (U): Displays the mean of the Trendline.
  • Upper & Lower Limit (U): Displays the upper and lower limits for the selected product and customer combination.

Note: You can change the product and customer combination using the context selector at the bottom left corner of the chart.
