The page controls how the forecast consumption should be removed from the forecast, where there's action demand for a future period. This makes sure actual demand, such as open orders, isn't treated as additional to the forecasted demand.

Consumption Method

Specify the consumption method period:

  • Off: The Open Customer Demand (U) value is the current month and no previous or future periods are changed. The Unconsumed Forecast(U) value equals the Consensus Plan (U) value. 
  • Same Period Only: Subtracts the Open Customer Demand (U) value from the Consensus Plan (U) value for prior periods.
  • Forwards: Subtracts the Open Customer Demand (U) value from future periods of the Consensus Plan (U) value, if its value exceeds the Consensus Plan (U) value. 
  • Backwards: Subtracts the Open Customer Demand (U) value from prior periods of the Open Customer Demand (U) value, if its value exceeds the Consensus Plan (U) value.
  • Forwards then Backwards: Subtracts the Open Customer Demand (U) value from the Consensus Plan (U) value where the Consensus Plan (U) value is exceeded. Subtraction occurs on forward periods first followed by backward periods.
  • Backwards then Forwards: Subtracts the Open Customer Demand (U) value from the Consensus Plan (U) value where the Consensus Plan (U) value is exceeded. Subtraction occurs on backward periods first followed by forward periods.
Overdue Included in ForecastControls whether the Overdue Customer Demand (U) ‌is included in the forecast. Specify Yes or No.
View Years/Periods Future
View Period Type

Specify whether to view by:

  • Fiscal Years: Displays the current fiscal year as a minimum.
  • Rolling Years: Displays the current year as a minimum.

Selecting additional years extends the viewing range from the minimum position.

Include Totals on TableControls whether a total is included in the table below the graph. Specify Yes or No.
