Statistical Forecasting

The Statistical Forecasting application enables you to manage the statistical forecasts generated by the application.

Statistical Forecasting includes key processes to:

• Administer the parameters that generate forecasts. 
• Review the selected stat best fit methods.
• Edit the final forecast outputs for individual product/customer combinations. 

There are two critical planning cycle administration functions: Update Current Period (STAT), and Import History for Stat. You can also display settings for a further feature, Manage Seasonal Periods, which is a one-time configuration setup task.

Review the statistical forecast methods tested, and the resulting values for a selected product-customer combination. The results of the tests are displayed and ranked. This enables you to identify the best fit method, and the frequency of use to obtain insights into the nature of demand history.

You can edit the final statistical forecasts outputs for specific product customer combinations and view the forecast accuracy measure for the final forecast output. This includes parameters to manage the disaggregation of the forecast, override selected forecast methods, and include forecast uplifts for specified periods.
