The Manage Opportunity Stages page allows you to create, edit, and delete Opportunity Stages. The page allows you to name, define, and manage the lifecycle opportunity stages to align with the stages used by the customer. The stages are used to support the rules that determine when an opportunity is factored into the Demand, Commercial, and Consensus Plans.
Parameters
Each stage displays the columns listed below:

| Display Name | Displays the opportunity stage's name. |
| Code | Displays the opportunity stage's code, which you can map to a source CSM system or be added manually. |
| Sort Order | Displays the opportunity stage's sequence number. You can sort the stages into their logical process order. |
| Delete | Select this option to delete an opportunity stage if it is no longer required. |
Steps
To add an Opportunity Stage:
- Select Add Opportunity Stage.
- Enter a DisplayName and Code for the opportunity stage.
- Select Submit.
Note: The sort order number of all new stages is given as ‘0’. See the Sort Opportunity Stages section below for how to reorder the stages to display in the correct position of the opportunity lifecycle.
To adjust the order of the opportunity stages:
- Specify the cadence sequence number for the stages in the Sort Order column.
- Select Sort Opportunity Stages. A progress dialog displays and closes once the sort completes.
To delete opportunity stages:
- Select the Delete box in the Manage Opportunity Stages card. The cell is highlighted red.
- Select Delete Opportunity Stages button. A progress dialog displays and closes once the deletion completes.
