This page allows you to compare the Unconstrained input and the Constrained output of Production Planning.
Before you start
Use the context selectors in the top-right to select a location and product combination.
Select Import data from Production Planning to import data from the production plan for comparison.
Select a Time View Settings to focus on a specific timeframe.
Parameter | Value |
View Years History | This is the number of years history to view. If you enter more than the maximum history available, only the maximum available is shown. |
View Period Type | View Period Type: This provides options to view planning periods as either:

Define Production Plan and Unconstrained Scenarios
Parameter | Value |
Inventory Scenario to feed in Optimizer Outputs | Select an inventory scenario from the dropdown to use in the optimizer outputs. |
Inventory Scenario to feed Outside Inventory Planning | Select an inventory scenario from the dropdown to use outside inventory planning. |
The Effective Production Plan and Uncontrained Scenarios card displays the default scenario or the selected "Defined" value.
Set the Inventory Policy and Edit Reorder parameters to use for the scenarios set in the Effective Production Plan and Unconstrained Scenarios table.
Inventory Policies

Default Inventory Policy for ABCXYZ* | Displays the default inventory policy set in 206 – Set Inventory Policies by Segment. |
Override Inventory Policy* | Displays the override inventory policy. |
EF Base Inventory Policy* | Displays the current effective inventory policy. |
Service Level Conversion | Displays the service level conversion rate. |
Edit Reorder Parameters
Parameter | Value |
Minimum Inventory Level* | Displays the minimum level of inventory. |
Minimum Order Quantity* | Displays the smallest quantity that can be ordered. |
Order Multiple* | Displays the increments in which orders can be placed. |
Target Inventory Level* | Displays a target inventory level, above which the inventory mustn't exceed. |
The Closing Inventory graph displays the weekly closing inventory unit values at the specified location.
The Inbound Deliveries graph displays the weekly inventory unit values that are on their way to the specified location.
The Outbound Deliveries graph displays the weekly inventory unit values that have left the specified location.
Parameters
The tables below display different parameters and their values for the Distribution Center weekly.
DC Inbound Deliveries
Parameter | Value |
Production Plan Replenishment (U) | Displays the units imported from the production plan. |
Transfers, POs, and Intransit (U) | Displays the units of inventory being transferred between locations, assigned against a purchase order, or in transit. |
DC Inbound before Inventory Policies (U) | Displays inbound inventory units before an inventory policy is considered. |
Impacts of Inventory Policies on PP Inbound (U) | Displays the units that affect inbound production plan data as a result of inventory policies. |
Final DC Inbound Deliveries
Parameter | Value |
Cumulative Inbound Delay due to Inventory Policies | Displays the effect of inbound delivery delays to a distribution center due to inventory policies. |
Unconstraint DC Inbound Deliveries (U) | Displays the units to be delivered to a distribution center. |
Inbound Production Plan VAR (U) | Displays the units inbound from the production plan value at risk (VAR). |
