This page enables you to create, update, and manage forecast archives.
Create Forecast Archive
Scenario Selection
The table lets you specify the archive record parameters for a forecast.

Unconsumed Forecast? | Select to include unconsumed forecast. |
Production Plan? | Select to include production plan data. |

Parameters
The below tables specify the archive record parameters.
Inputs
Parameters | Values |
Current Period | Defaults to the current planning period. |
Default Archive Name | The system-generated name for the archive record. |
Override Archive Name | Double click this field to specify a different name for the archive record. |
Effective Archive Name | Defaults to the Default Archive Name value unless you've changed it in the Override Archive Name parameter. |
Comments | Use the field to add notes to the archived record. |
Edit and Effective Parameters
Parameters | Values |
Archive Full Horizon | Defines the demand planning periods to retain (in the archived record) as the full horizon. |
Periods to Archive | Specify the number of periods (including the current period) to archive from the selected file. If you've selected No in the Archive Full Horizon parameter, you must enter a value in this field. |
Waterfall? | Specify if the forecast archive is included in the waterfall analysis by selecting Yes or No. |
Forecast Accuracy? | Specify if the forecast archive is included in the forecast accuracy tables and charts. |
Consensus Plan | Specify if the consensus plan is included. |
Steps
Select Update Current Period to update the current period. Furthermore, select Create Forecast Archive to create a forecast archive.
Edit and Delete Archives
You can update and delete forecast archives.
Edit Archiving
To update the waterfall and forecast accuracy, select Update Waterfall & Forecast Accuracy.
The Edit Archiving table displays all the archive records for the earlier plans you can use to review and edit.

Current Waterfall | Indicates if an archive is included in the Waterfall Analysis and Performance pages. |
Add to Waterfall | Select to add archive records to the Waterfall Analysis pages. |
Remove from Waterfall | Select to remove archive records from the Waterfall Analysis pages. |
Current Forecast Accuracy | Indicates if you are using the archive in the Forecast Accuracy pages. |
Add to Forecast Accuracy | Select to include the Demand Plan in the forecast archive. |
Remove from Forecast Accuracy | Select to remove archive records from the Forecast Accuracy pages. |
Delete Archives
Deletion of an archive is performed by a scheduled process. Select Delete? and then select the Delete Header & Forecast Archive - Process button to delete a forecast archive.

Select the Period Rollover button to go to the page.
Forecast Accuracy Settings
Parameters
The Forecast Accuracy Settings table allows you to set parameters, with the values entered displayed in the Effective Parameters table. See the bottom of the page for details.

Lead Time Offset | Specify the number of planning periods to be used as lead time offset for forecast error calculations. For example, for a forecast made for Week 1, specifying a value of 2 would begin to measure the forecast made in week 1 from week 3. |
Periods to Sum | Specify the number of planning periods to sum in the calculation of the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value. For example, specifying a Lead Time Offset value of 2 and Periods to Sum value of 3, measures the forecast made in the week 1 offset to week 3, and sums it for weeks 3, 4, and 5. |
