This page enables you to manage a list of generic time periods used for analyzing seasonality. Planning periods are defined time intervals that are used for all planning data. You can adjust the periods to match your business calendar.

The setup of seasonal periods is managed by Anaplan at system setup. However, you may need to remove periods to match your calendar.

The table displays a list of periods with the Period Number and Display Name. A Delete? checkbox displays to the right of each period row. 

To delete one or more seasonal periods:

  1. Select Delete? for the periods you want to delete.
  2. Select Delete Seasonal Periods to delete the selected seasonal periods.

To override a seasonal period's default name:

  1. Select the Override Default Name? option. The corresponding Name cell is highlighted yellow.
  2. Double click the Name column, specify the new name, and press Enter.
    The changes are synched across the app at the next system refresh.

The number of seasonal periods must match the calendar. If the model is using a calendar type of Months/Quarters/Years, the number of periods created is 12. If the model is using a calendar type of Weeks, the number of periods created is 52/53.

This is a task must be repeated once a year.
