This page enables you to manage the list of remaining shelf life (RSL) categories used in inventory reporting.
Steps
To create a new RSL category:
- Select Add RSL Category.
- Enter a display name for the category and select Submit. This adds an entry to the Shelf Life Categories table.
- Enter values for From Days (>=) and To Days (<=) so these are sequential and don't contain gaps. Consider:
- The first RSL category should have From Days (>=) set to zero to capture expired inventory.
- To create one Expired Only category, set From Days (>=) to 0 and To Days (<=) to 0.
- Subsequent categories should always start one day after the previous.
- The final category should have To Days (<=) set to zero as a catch-all.
- For each category set an RSL Color Coding (-10 to +10) value. Consider:
- A value of 10 sets the cell's color to green.
- A value of -10 sets the cell's color to red.
- Values between 10 and -10 display in intermediate shades between green and red, depending on the number of categories that exist.
Once you've created your categories, sort them to maintain an ordered sequence. To do this, select Sort RSL Category. It's essential to sort after any additions or edits. This requires Workspace Administrator permission in the model.
To delete an existing RSL category:
- Select Delete? against the category you want to delete.
- Select Delete RSL Category.
