The Manage Launch Periods page displays the product launch periods — defined time intervals that are used for all planning data — and their descriptive names, used in the application. It also allows you to adjust the periods to match your business calendar.
Parameters
The setup of launch periods is managed by Anaplan at system setup. However, you may need to remove periods to match your calendar.
Every period displays in a grid, with its Period Number, DisplayName, and Week Name. A Delete? checkbox displays to the right of each period row.
Steps
To delete one or more launch periods:
- In the Launch Periods table, check the Delete? field for any period you want to delete.
- Select the Delete Launch Periods button to start the action.
- A confirmation dialog displays to start the process. Select Run process.
Additional information
If the model is using a Calendar type of ‘Months/Quarters/years’, then the number of periods to be set up will be 12. If the model is using a calendar type relating to Weeks, the number of periods set up would be 52/53.
The number of seasonal periods should match the calendar.
