The ABC-XYZ Analysis page provides product demand segmentation and analysis in terms of revenue (ABC), and demand variability (XYZ).

Parameters are set by a system administrator at the global level in the D1000 - Global Demand Parameters dashboard. They apply to all product-customer combinations. These parameters are shown in the Effective Parameters card. You can configure the parameters in the Edit Parameters card. When you update parameters, the new values are shown in the Effective Parameters card, and are applied globally.

The parameters and Pareto graph apply to all products.

ParametersValues
Periods History for ABC: ProductEnter the number of periods used to calculate the ABC product classification.
History for ABC: ProductEnter the selected history in units (U) or revenue (R).
C-Var (Min)The system-calculated value for the selected product-customer combination, calculated based on minimum C-Var.
C-Var (Mean)The system-calculated value for the selected product-customer combination, calculated based on C-Var defined as Standard Deviation / Mean of pure history.
C-Var (Trend)The system-calculated value for the selected product-customer combination, calculated based on C-Var defined as Standard Error / Mean of the Trendline.
C-Var (Corrected Mean)The system-calculated value for the selected product-customer combination, calculated based on C-Var defined as Corrected Mean of pure history.
C-Var (Corrected Trend)The system-calculated value for the selected product-customer combination, calculated based on C-Var defined as Corrected Mean of the Trendline.

This graph displays Pareto analysis by demand volume for all products. The graph displays the demand history in revenue terms by product in columns and a cumulative percentage curve for the specified number of periods.

The table displays the system-generated product segmentation. You can determine the level of product hierarchy by selecting an item from the context selector in the bottom left of the pane. The context selector is synchronized with the selector in the chart panel. You can also select the context for the values:

OptionDescription
Count of CustomersThe number of customer records by ABC segment within the selected customer hierarchy.
Sum of HistoryThe sum of the revenues by ABC segment.
% of HistoryThe % of the total demand history by ABC segment.

The chart provides a graphical view of the XYZ product segmentation.

You can determine the level of product hierarchy by selecting an item from the context selector in the bottom left of the card. You can also select the context for the values alongside the product selector.

The context selectors in the Current System Recommendation table and chart cards are synchronized. An option selected for the ABC graph is applied to the XYZ graph, and the other way around.
