The Update Current Period page enables you to update the current period within the Stat Forecasting application, manually or through an import action.

Before you start

Typically, you should carry out the Import the current period from Data Hub process. However, there may be some instances where the current period may be changed individually within the Stat Forecasting application, for example, to back to a specific period. This page enables you import the current period from Data Hub, but not export it back.

Current period

The Import Current Period from Data Hub action allows you to synchronize the current period setting in your app with the value configured in the Data Hub. 

Parameters

Current PeriodThe planning period, set at the immediate or future planning month, which was imported from the Data Hub.
Override Current PeriodAllows you to override the current period within the application and select a period to replace the Current Period.
EF Current PeriodDisplays confirmation of the effective planning period as either the Current Period or the Override Current Period values, when an override period value has been provided.

Steps

To import the current period from Data Hub:

  1. Select the Import Current Period from Data Hub button.
  2. Select Run process to start the action. Once the process is complete, the status displays in this window.
  3. Select Close to complete the process.

The Current Period in this page will be updated to match the Current Period in the Data Hub.

Additional information

You should maintain the Current Period setting in Data Hub D0010 – Update Current Period, and the Import Current Period from Data Hub to ensure the Current Planning Period in the application is synchronized.
