This page provides a way of simulating your inventory aging, based on existing age categories.

Select the scenario and location from the context selectors on the upper right.

Estimated Production Date

For the purposes of the simulation, this defines which value is used as the effective production date. Use the dropdown to select:

  • Production Date - The lot's production date.
  • Receipt Date - The date of entry into the inventory. This is used when the production date is not known.
  • Production Date Less Lead Time -  The product date minus the time required for production. This is used when the production date is not known.
Enable Inventory Aging SimulationThis checkbox enables the simulated chart display.
In Period Receipt Timing - Aging Sim

Define when to consider the entire receipt amount as available:

  • Start of Period - in-period receival of product is accounted at the beginning of the period.
  • End of Period - in-period receival of product is accounted at the end of the period.

View Years FutureEnter a numeric value for the number of future years to view. If you enter more than the maximum history available, then the maximum available displays.
View Period Type

You can select:

  • Fiscal Years - shows the current fiscal year as a minimum.
  • Rolling Years - shows the current period as a minimum. 

Selecting additional years will extend the viewing range from this minimum position.

Hover over the age category key to highlight each category in the chart, or select the a category key to toggle its visibility.
