This page enables you to manage the list of promotions and the inputs at the promotion header level. Salesforce

Select the customer for which the promotion is created from the context selector at the top-right of the page, or manually enter the required value using the search function.

To create a promotion header:

  1. Select Add Promotion.
  2. Check the Parent field displays the correct customer. You can change the customer if required.
  3. Select Submit. An empty promotion record is created.
  4. Update the Promotions Setup table as follows:

Promo NameSpecify a promotion name.
In Store Start DateSpecify the promotion's start date.
Days on DealSpecify the promotion's duration in days.
In Store End DateDisplays the promotion's end date calculated from the In Store Start Date and Days on Deal values.
Shipping OffsetSpecify a shipping offset in days that are required to prepare the promotion shipment.
Shipping Start DateDisplays the promotion's shipping start date calculated from the In Store Start Date and Shipping Offset values.
Shipping End DateDisplays the promotion's shipping end date calculated from the In Store End Date and Shipping Offset values.
Default CurveSelect a promotion curve.
Curve LengthDisplays the number of days that the promotion curve is based on. If the value differs from the Days on Deal value, the field displays in red, signifying an error as both values must match. 
Uplift TypeDisplays the promotion's uplift type on which the promotion curve is based. See Promo Curves for further details.
EffectiveSelect this option to enable the promotion plan header, to make sure the header is displayed in a Commercial Plan, allowing it to be modeled and used in "what-if" planning.
Update Promo BaseSelect this option to confirm the promotion plan, which updates the chart and table from the commercial plan.
  1. Enter any Comments to provide context for the promotion header.

The Promotions Calendar displays a schedule for the promotion plan header.

To delete a promotion header:

  1. Select the Delete box in the Promotion Setup card. The cell is highlighted red.
  2. Select Delete Promotions. A progress dialog displays and closes once the deletion completes.
