This page enables you to compare different versions of the demand plan by analyzing variances.
Before you start
Use the context selectors at the top-right to select a product, variance type, and scenario. Additionally, you can manually enter the required values using the search function.
Use the Product Filter fields to filter on a specific product.
The Demand Variance comparison table displays comparison values for the parameters selected in the Edit Parameters section. The comparison values displayed are either for units or revenue, depending on what is selected from the context selector.
| Column | Description |
| Plan | The plan values using the Compare From parameter value. |
| Comparison | The plan values using the Compare To parameter value. |
| Absolute Variance | The variance between the Plan and Comparison values. |
| Variance | The variance between the Plan and Comparison values. |
| Absolute % Variance | The absolute percentage variance between Plan and Comparison values. |
| % Variance | The resulting percentage variance. |
The Comparison chart provides a graphical view of the selected plan and comparison values for the defined planning horizon.
| Legend Color | Description |
| Yellow | Highlights the time range selected for analysis. |
| Black | Displays the values specified in the Compare From value. |
| Red | Displays the values specified in the Compare To value. |
Parameters
Edit the comparison periods in the Edit Parameters panel.

| Compare From | Select what you're comparing from Budget, Consensus Plan, Demand Forecast, Prior Consensus Plan, Prior Demand Forecast, or System Forecast. |
| Compare To | Select what you're comparing to Budget, Consensus Plan, Demand Forecast, Prior Consensus Plan, Prior Demand Forecast, or System Forecast. |
| Start Period | Select the period you're comparing from. |
| End Period | Select the period you're comparing to. |
| Medium Delta | Specify the percentage value used to highlight a medium variance. Values that exceed this value are displayed in yellow. |
| High Delta | Specify the percentage value used to highlight a high variance. Values that exceed this value are displayed in red. |
Additional information
Hover the cursor over a chart legend to display the legend's values in the chart. Hover the cursor over the data curve to display the data point values.
