Product lifecycle management (PLM) pages enable you to plan the lifecycle of a product. This includes new product introduction (NPI) products and end of life (EOL) products. You can use them to manage lifecycle elements like launch curves, bills of material (BOM) costings, EOL curves, cannibalization, and return on investment (ROI) analysis.
You can set the context for the data that displays using the All NPD Years, All Products and All Customers context selectors.
To select a specific product under the parent items Manufactured Products or Raw Materials, select the product from the context selector on the NPI Products card.
NPI Products, EOL Products, and No of Active Products
You can use these cards to review the number of New Product Introduction (NPI) products, End of Life (EOL) products, and number of active products for the context you select.
On the NPI Products card, you can also select a different product or level in the All Products list hierarchy. Select the context selector on the card and choose an item. You can also enter a search term in the search field to find an item. When you select a new context, it updates the context selector at the top and the data on the page.
ABCXYZ Classification
Before you start
You can see the ABC-XYZ classification for a product, as defined by the context you select in the context selectors. You can then use this information to help you plan in the relevant modules.
NPI Products and EOL Products
If there are any NPI or EOL products for the selected context, these are listed in the NPI Products and EOI Products grids.
NPI Revenue and NPI Contribution
You can review the NPI Revenue and NPI Contribution cards for the NPI Revenue and NPI Contribution metrics of the context you select.
Revenue Plan
The Revenue Plan chart displays NPI and EOL revenue plans for the date, product, and location selected. You can use this to understand the financial impact of products as they are introduced and declassified.
