This page enables you to determine areas where a product is surplus in one place and deficient in another, which can serve as a starting point for potential inventory transfers.

Use the context selectors at the top-right to select a scenario and product combination. Additionally, you can manually enter the required values using the search function.

Use the Product Filter field to filter on a specific product.

In this section, you can filter statuses of inventory that are either in excess or falling short as per the demand forecast.

The parameters are shown in the Effective Parameters card. You can configure the parameters in the Edit Parameters card. When you update parameters, the new values are shown in the Effective Parameters card, and are applied globally.

Excess Inventory Calculation Method

Select the excess inventory calculation method:

  • Due to expire without interventions.
  • Inventory in DC with no demand.
  • Inventory above maximum inventory target.
  • Inventory above minimum inventory target.
Periods for Max/Min InventoryEnter time periods to be considered for maximum/minimum inventory.
Excess check periods prior to shortfallEnter a value for considering excess check periods prior to shortfall.

The Shortfall by DC (U) table displays the insufficient inventory levels by week at each distribution center (DC).

Locations with Excess prior to shortfallCount of locations that had excess of the inventory before reporting insufficiency.

The Excess Inventory by DC (U) table displays the surplus stock quantities at distribution centers by week.

Select a Time View Settings to focus on a specific timeframe.

View Years HistoryThis is the number of years history to view. If you enter more than the maximum history available, only the maximum available is shown.
View Period Type

View Period Type: This provides options to view planning periods as either:

  • Fiscal Year: Always shows the current fiscal year as a minimum.
  • Rolling Year: Always shows the current period as a minimum.

Select a distribution center location in Select DC for Excess Inventory. The graph displays values for closing inventory, shortfall, and closing excess for the selected distribution center. Additionally, you can select a distribution center from the context selector at the bottom of the chart.

The card below Effective Parameters lists the count of changes that are pending to be processed for a product and location combination.
