The Integrated Financial Planning (IFP) application is formed by five models. There's the central data hub, the headcount data hub, the profit and loss (P&L) spoke, the headcount spoke, and the corporate spoke.
Any data used in Anaplan is fed into the data hubs. We then transmit the data to the spoke models.
Application data hub and spokes
Additional facts:
- Most of the data is managed in the central data hub.
- We built a separate data hub for headcount-sensitive data.
- The central spoke model seeds the headcount and corp models with default items, such as foreign exchange (FX) rates.
- The headcount model seeds the headcount forecast and full-time employees (FTE) forecast to the P&L spoke model.
- The corporate development spoke model sends the capital expense (CapEx) forecast to the P&L spoke model.
