The Integrated Financial Planning (IFP) application is formed by five models. There's the central data hub, the headcount data hub, the profit and loss (P&L) spoke, the headcount spoke, and the corporate spoke.

Any data used in Anaplan is fed into the data hubs. We then transmit the data to the spoke models.

Additional facts:

  • Most of the data is managed in the central data hub.
  • We built a separate data hub for headcount-sensitive data.
  • The central spoke model seeds the headcount and corp models with default items, such as foreign exchange (FX) rates.
  • The headcount model seeds the headcount forecast and full-time employees (FTE) forecast to the P&L spoke model.
  • The corporate development spoke model sends the capital expense (CapEx) forecast to the P&L spoke model.
