This page enables you to manage blank list items for use in various lists in the app.
Manage the number of blank list items created for location related, work center, processes, supplier questions, and other lists. You can set:
- The default number of items to be created for each list.
- A threshold where automatic update of lists is required. The number of items currently in use (populated) is used to determine if the threshold is exceeded. Where it is, the list is flagged to be updated.
Steps
Location Related Lists
To update location-related list details in the first table:
- Enter the number of list items to be created in Number to Create.
- Enter percentage value in Threshold to Create % to set a threshold where automatic update of lists is required.
- Enter a secondary name in Alternate Name, if applicable. Double click the cell to edit the name.
In the second table:
- Enter value for location in Specific Location #.
- Select checkbox in Create? to flag the location record for creating empty placeholders.
After updating the values in both tables, select P232 – Create Customer Related Lists to generate empty placeholders for customers throughout the system.
Work Centers
To update work center-related list details, in the first table, enter number of list items to be created in #Records.
In the second table:
- Enter value for location in #Work Center Records.
- Select checkbox in Create? to flag the location record for creating empty placeholders.
After updating the values in both tables, select P236 – Create Work Center Lists to generate empty placeholders for customers throughout the system.
Other Lists
To update other list details in the table:
- Enter number of list items to be created in #Records.
- Enter a percentage value in Target Threshold % to set a threshold where automatic update of lists is required.
- Enter a secondary name in Alternate Name, if applicable. Double click to edit the field.
- Select P237 – Create Other Lists.
Processes
To create empty list process items, enter values in #Process Records and select the checkbox in Create?. The placeholders will be created at the next system refresh.
Supplier Questions
To create empty placeholders for supplier questions, enter values in #Supplier Questions and select the checkbox in Create?. The placeholders will be created at the next system refresh.
Additional information
The new placeholders are only created if the previous ones have been used. For example, if there are already five unused placeholders existing, the create process won't create an additional five placeholders.
