This page enables you to create, update, and manage forecast archives.
Manually Create Forecast Archive
Parameters
The Header Record Defaults table specifies the archive record parameters.
Inputs
Parameters | Values |
Current Period | Defaults to the current planning period. |
Default Archive Name | The system-generated name for the archive record. |
Override Archive Name | Specify a different name for the archive record. |
Effective Archive Name | Defaults to the Default Archive Name value unless you've changed it in the Override Archive Name parameter. |
Comments | Use the field to add notes to the archived record. |
Edit and Effective Parameters
Parameters | Values |
Archive Full Horizon | Defines the demand planning periods to retain (in the archived record) as the full horizon. |
Periods to Archive | Specifies the number of periods (including the current period) to archive from the file you select. If you've selected No in the Archive Full Horizon parameter, you must enter a value in this field. |
Waterfall? | Select Yes or No from the dropdown to include the forecast archive in the waterfall analysis. |
Forecast Accuracy? | Select Yes or No from the dropdown to include the forecast archive in the forecast accuracy tables and charts. |

Steps
Update Current Period
To update a current period, select Update Current Period. The automated process runs and once successful, a "Process succesful" message is displayed.
Update Demand Scenarios
To update a demand scenario, select Update Demand Scenarios. The automated process runs and once successful, a "Process successful" message is displayed.
Create Forecast Archive
- Select Create Forecast Archive. The automated process runs and once successful, a "Process successful" message is displayed.
- If the process fails or completes with errors, "Process complete, with errors" message appears on the screen. Select the Download errors (.csv) button to download the error list.
Edit and Delete Archives
This option enables you to edit and delete the archives.
Update Waterfall & Forecast Accuracy - Process
To update a waterfall and forecast accuracy process, select Update Waterfall & Forecast Accuracy - Process. The automated process runs and once successful, a "Process successful" message is displayed.
The deletion of an archive is performed by a scheduled process.
All Archives
The table displays all the archive records for the earlier plans you can use to review.
Parameters
Parameters | Values |
Date | Displays the archive creation date. |
Comments | Displays any comments added to the archive record. |
Current Waterfall | Indicates if an archive is included in the Waterfall Analysis and Performance pages. |
Add to Waterfall | Select to add archive records to the Waterfall Analysis pages. |
Remove from Waterfall | Select to remove archive records from the Waterfall Analysis pages. |
Current Forecast Accuracy | Indicates if you are using the archive in the Forecast Accuracy pages. |
Add to Forecast Accuracy | Select to include the Demand Plan in the forecast archive. |
Remove from Forecast Accuracy | Select to remove archive records from the Forecast Accuracy pages. |
Delete? | Select to delete a forecast archive. Deletion of an archive is performed by a scheduled process. |
Create Scheduled Archive
The items selected here will be used for the scheduled archiving process if this has been enabled.
