Demand Composition
This table displays the data for DC demand composition.
Parameters | Values |
Committed Demand | |
Overdue Open Orders (U) | Open customer orders that are past their due date. They aren't included in forecast consumption and are displayed in the first forecast period. |
Open Customer Demand (U) | Orders received from customers with a future shipment date. |
Contracted Customer Demand (U) | The value of binding agreements with customers to meet a certain level of demand, but where actual orders haven't been placed yet. |
Total Committed Demand (U) | The sum of the Overdue Open Orders (U), Open Customer Demand (U), and Contracted Customer Demand (U) values. |
Forecasts | |
Unconsumed Forecast (U) | The forecast after it's been through a forecast consumption process. |
Non Forecast Demand (U) | A manual input to represent demand, which isn't in the demand forecast. This is used for situations where the distribution center needs to ship product to build inventory in the channel. For example, stocking up a distributor. |
Total Forecast Demand (U) | The sum of the Unconsumed Forecast (U) and Non Forecast Demand (U) values. |
Memorandum Items | |
Consensus Forecast (U) | The forecast coming out of the demand planning process. |
Consensus Forecast (Std Cost) | Standard cost related to the forecast from demand planning process. |
Final Demand | |
Simulated Network Replenishment | Demand arising from needing to serve / replenish another distribution center or location in the network. |
Demand Satisfied from Production Planning (U) | Satisfied demand value from production planning for the inventory plan. |
Total DC Demand (U) | The finalized demand output for the inventory plan. Calculation will depend on a range of parameters. If Use Prod Plan Production is true, the constrained demand from production planning is used. If the option is false, this matrix is in effect. |
Non Forecast Demand Input
This table displays the manually inputted demand forecast in inventory planning.
