Use this page to manage a bill of materials (BOM) to determine the cost of a new product introduction (NPI).

Use the All Products and Scenarios context selectors on the top-right of the page to set the context for the data.

You can add, configure, and delete components from a product. The Total Cost and Number of Components values in the chart below automatically populate as you enter data.

To add or delete a component from a product:

  1. In the Manage NPI Bill of Materials table, locate the product to add a component to.
  2. Below the product, in the row titled (spare NPI BOMs, please enter data to begin using) type the details as listed in the parameter table.
  3. To add more components to a product, select Show Next Available NPI BOM. An empty row displays.
  4. To delete a component, select Delete?. An automatic overnight process deletes the record.

The Total Cost and Number of Components values in the New Product Cost Output charts automatically populate as you enter data.
