This page enables you to manage demand planning inputs at the aggregate level, and disaggregation to the hierarchy.

You can specify the customer region and product family data combination from the context selectors on the top-right of the page. Both context selectors only give options for the top level hierarchies.

To change the data that displays on the page, select an option from the context selectors.

To search for an option, enter a numeric reference ID, alphabetic name, or a partial name in the Find... field.

This graph enables you to make decisions on the Level 1 Demand Planning page. The graph features four key demand plan baselines: Leaf level baseline plan, Prior demand plan (U), Rounded Final Stat Forecast (U), and Initial Baseline Plan (U).

You can adjust the demand plan in the table below the graph.

On the rows Level 1 Adjustment Input % and Level 1 Adjustment Input (U), you can override and change the L1 Demand Plan with your own inputs. In the Global Parameter table, if you select Yes in the Apply top level overrides? row, this applies the adjustments to the demand plan.

This table describes the global parameters you can edit. You can only edit cells which aren't shaded cells.

ParametersValues
Disaggregation Basis

Select the basis/input to demand disaggregation from this dropdown:

  • Selected Baseline: You set your own baseline and this parameter reflects that.
  • Prior Demand Plan: This selection sets the default demand plan as the demand plan for the prior planning period for the specific product-customer combination.
  • Selected History (U) Time range: This selection creates the disaggregation ratios based on the history within the app using the selected disaggregation time range.
  • Fixed Disaggregation: This selection calculates disaggregation based on a user-defined fixed percentage.
  • Even Split: This selection disaggregates evenly across the items.
Disaggregation Time RangeEnter a value that specifies several historic periods to use for disaggregation.
Post Disaggregation Rounding

Select an option:

  • Nearest: This selection rounds the final disaggregation to the nearest whole number.
  • Off: This selection stops the system from rounding the value post-disaggregation.
  • Up: This selection rounds the final disaggregation value up to the nearest whole number.
  • Down: This selection rounds the final disaggregation value down to the nearest whole number.
Perpetuate OverridesSelect this checkbox if you want the overrides you entered to perpetuate over the entire horizon.
Baseline Demand Plan

Select an option to use as the basis for the demand plan:

  • Zero (U): This selection sets the default demand plan as Zero for the specific product-customer combination. When you select zero, it allows you to build the demand plan without pre-populated values.
  • Stat Forecast: This selection will set the default demand plan as the statistical forecast for the specific product-customer combination. This setting allows you to build the demand plan using the statistical forecast values.
  • Prior Demand Plan: This selection sets the default demand plan as the demand plan for the prior planning period for the specific product-customer combination.
Apply top level overrides?Select Yes if you want the overrides made at the top level to be disaggregated to the lower levels.

This table displays the parameters used in Level 1 Demand Planning. You can only edit cells which aren't shaded cells.

ParametersValues
Baseline Demand Plan

Use this parameter to decide which demand plan to use as the baseline (before any disaggregation or overrides have occurred).

The parameters you can select are:

  • Zero (0)Stat Forecast
  • Prior Demand Plan
  • Rollup of lear baseline plan

If you select Zero (0), you can create the baseline yourself instead of with system-generated statistical forecasts or prior period demand plans.

Perpetuate Unit OverridesSelect this checkbox to perpetuate override values from the period in which the initial override value is entered to all future periods.
Disaggregation Basis

Select a parameter:

  • Selected Baseline
  • Prior Demand Plan
  • Select History (U) Time Range
  • Fixed Disaggregation
  • Even Split

If you select Fixed Disaggregation, this parameter allows maximum control if changes or splits need to be made.

Apply top level overrides?Select Yes to apply the adjustments to the demand plan.
