This page enables you to review the historical performance of forecasts vs actuals by product and customer.

You can specify the context of the product data and customer data combination from the context selectors at the top right of the page.

To change the data that displays on the page, select an option from the context selectors.

To search for an option, enter a numeric reference ID, alphabetic name, or a partial name in the Find... field.

Use these parameters to specify the input basis, date range, and basis for measurement.

You can specify parameters in the Edit Parameters card. The parameters then display in the Effective Parameters card.

ParametersValues
Archived Forecast

Select a parameter that specifies the basis for the data to be displayed in the tables:

  • Demand Plan
  • Commercial Plan
  • Consensus Plan
  • Stat Forecast
Units or Revenue

Select a parameter to specify the display of data:

  • Units: Specifies the display of data in units.
  • Revenue: Specifies the display of data in revenue name. If you select this parameter, the currency of the selected customer or region displays.
Forecast Error Basis

This calculation for forecast error is the absolute forecast error divided by the selected divisor. This parameter specifies the divisor used in the calculation:

  • Actuals: Divides the forecast error by history.
  • Forecast: Divides the forecast error by the forecast.
  • Minimum Error: Divides the forecast error by either the history or the forecast (whichever will give the lowest error). Use this measure to prevent incentivizing behavior that can introduce bias into forecasts.
Forecast Accuracy Measure

This parameter specifies the measure used to display forecast accuracy values.

  • MAPE: This measure is defined as Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE).
  • Forecast Accuracy: This measure is defined as 100% minus MAPE.
Conditional Format Threshold Green (< Error %)Define the percentage of error to apply for the green format.
Conditional Format Threshold Amber (< Error %)Define the percentage of error to apply for the amber format.

You can specify parameters in the Edit View Filtering card. The parameters then display in the Effective View Filtering card.

To change the waterfall start date, select a date from the Waterfall Start dropdown.

To change the waterfall end date, select a date from the Waterfall End dropdown.

For the product combinations you select from the context selectors, the table displays actual demand by period, together with forecast accuracy, for each of the weekly snapshots.
