This section enables you to access and manage various aspects of Inventory planning preparation. It also helps to calculate the inventory levels needed to meet demand and to adhere to organizational policies on inventory holding and ordering.
The key components of the Inventory Planning Preparation section are:
- Manage DC Demand: Enables you to review the demand being fed into the inventory plan. It provides the finalized demand output for the inventory plan.
- Manage Open Purchase Orders: Helps to review the open purchase orders, and control which are included in the inventory plan.
- Manage Available Inventory: Lets you review on-hand inventory based upon its status, and control which inventory status are treated as available inventory.
- Set Inventory Policies by Segment: Enables you to simulate the effect of changing inventory policies at a macro level. You can also create a new scenario (with no product-level overrides) and use that to compare policies.
- Manage Standard Costs: Manage changes to the standard costs used in cost of goods and inventory value calculations.
