This page allows you to manage the production processes involved in creating a product, including the resources required to complete them.
Production Processes
In this section, you can define and manage Process Categories and Processes. For example, in the process of converting raw materials into finished goods, several steps are involved. These could include preparation, sub-assembly, final assembly, and packaging.
Resources Processes
In this section, you can edit and manage the Resources Processes.
Parameters
Parameter name | Description |
Capacity Hours | Total number of hours available for producing finished goods. |
Run Rate | Average number of units produced by a process over a given period. |
Steps
Process Categories
To add a process category:
- Select Show Next Available Items.
- Double click the Name column, specify a process category name, and press Enter.
Note: Select a process category to edit its name.
To delete a process category select the Delete option against the category.
Note: If a process category has processes, the delete option isn't available.
Processes
To add a process:
- Select the process category to which the process is being added.
- Select Show Next available items.
- Double click the Name column, specify a process name, and press Enter.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 to add further processes.
To delete a new production process:
- Select checkbox to delete the newly added process. The created process is available to be assigned to a resource at every location.
Edit Resources Processes
To edit a resource process:
- Select Show Next Available Resource.
- Select Location from the dropdown.
- In Process, choose from the available processes from the dropdown.
To delete a work center process:
- Select checkbox to delete a work center process and hit refresh.
