This page allows you to manage opportunity planning stages. Here you can name, define, and manage the lifecycle opportunity stages to align with the stages used by the customer. The stages are used to support the rules that determine when an opportunity is factored into the Demand and Consensus Plans.

Parameters

Each stage displays the columns listed below:

ParametersValues
Display NameDisplays the opportunity stage's name. 
CodeDisplays the opportunity stage's code, which you can map to a source CSM system or be added manually.
Sort OrderDisplays the opportunity stage's sequence number. You can sort the stages into their logical process order. 
Delete?Select this option to delete an opportunity stage if it is no longer required. See below for details.

Steps

To add an Opportunity Stage:

  1. Select Add Opportunity Stage.
  2. Enter a DisplayName and Code for the opportunity stage.
  3. Select Submit.

Note: The sort order number of all new stages is given as ‘0’. See the Sort Opportunity Stages section below for how to reorder the stages to display in the correct position of the opportunity lifecycle.

To adjust the order of the opportunity stages:

  1. Specify the cadence sequence for each stage in the Sort Order column.
  2. Select Sort Opportunity Stages. 

To delete opportunity stages:

  1. Select Delete?. The cell is highlighted red.
  2. Select Delete Opportunity Stages.
