This section enables you to translate the output from a demand forecast onto the DCs which will need to meet that forecast. Generally, the demand forecast is by product and customer. And for inventory planning, it needs to be by product and location (that is, the warehouse/DC that needs to ship to meet the demand).
The key components of the DC Disaggregation section are:
- Customer to Location Disaggregation: Enables you to control how, for a given customer, the demand is disaggregated to the locations that serve it.
- Customer x Product to Location Disaggregation: Helps you control how, for a given customer and product combination, the demand is disaggregated to the locations that serve it.
- DC Disaggregation Override Events: Lets you create and manage events to represent point-in-time changes in the customer location disaggregation.
- Final Output and Rounding: Enables you to review the output from the DC Disaggregation process based on the selected customer and scenario combination.
- Disaggregation Validation Errors: Identify product x customer combinations where the demand following disaggregation to location doesn't equal the original demand fed into it.
