Key planning components
- Inventory Management: Control and oversee the ordering, storage, and use of components, materials, and finished goods at manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and storage facilities.
- Safety stock management: Maintain a buffer stock to prevent stockouts caused by delays in supply or unexpected increases in demand.
- Capacity Planning: View and adjust the capacity plan, including shift days, shift periods, shift capacity, operating costs and overriding these values as and when required.
- Demand Planning: Estimate future demand for products at a distribution center or a plant.
- Raw Materials Planning: Set or modify raw material volume for a production plan in use.
- Production Scheduling: Manage firm production orders using either a frozen time horizons method or by importing a production plan from a different source.
