Adjust the Capacity Plan effectively by modeling or by entering override values.

The 230 – Capacity Planning page provides a basis to manage resource capacity efficiently. It enables you to predict future demands and make strategic decisions about investments, operating costs, resources, and shift capacity.

Prerequisites

Location and shifts have been configured in the Core Business Data Setup section of the app. If any location and shift combination is missing, review the core business data.

Adjust resource capacity

To adjust modeled capacity, override capacity, and override operating cost:

  1. Use the context selector dropdown at the top of the page to select the location, shift, and a production scenario.
  2. In the Resource Capacity grid: 
    1. For Modelled capacity from topdown inputs:
      1. Select / de-select Use modelling at detailed level?.
      2. Enter values for Days run in period, Shifts per day, and Capacity per unit.  
    2. For Modelled capacity:
      1. Select / de-select Override Capacity?.
      2. Enter value for Override value for Capacity.
    3. For Operating Costs:
      1. Select / de-select Override Operating Cost. 
      2. Enter a value for Override value for Operating Cost.
