Set the target safety stock and penalties for safety stock held at your plants.

The 250 – Target stock levels (plant) page enables you to set target stock levels at plants to maintain operational efficiency. It provides you basis to adjust the target safety stock and penalties incurred due to failure in meeting customer demands, lost sales, late delivery, or increased production costs, for the stock held at plants. 

Prerequisites

Raw materials, storage facilities, and plants have been configured in the Core Business Data Setup section of the app. If any raw material, storage facilities, or plant combination is missing, review the core business data.

To set penalty for safety stock

To set the penalty per unit value for safety stock at plant:

  1. Use the context selector dropdown at the top of the page to select a production scenario.
  2. Enter the value in Penalty unit value for raw material.

To set target safety stock by plant

To set the target safety stock by plant:

  1. Use the context selector dropdown at the top of the page to select a production scenario.
  2. Enter value for raw material in the Input Target Safety Stock by Plant grid.
