The 300 – Control Tower page provides a comprehensive overview of all critical aspects of production planning that include demand and production, resources, and raw materials. It enables you to review and streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and improve overall production efficiency.
Use the context selector dropdown at the top of the page to select a time period, customer, product, and production scenario.
Key demand and production components
Select a time period, demand type, and customer from the content selector dropdowns.
Grid Name | Description |
Demand Summary | Volumes of on time, late, and unmet demands. |
Process Volumes | Production process volumes based on the selections made. |
Unallocated Production | Volume of production orders that are yet to be allocated to a customer demand. |
Financial Overview | Profit and loss numbers. |
Comparison of Base vs Selected Scenario | Comparison net profit numbers for base forecast and other scenarios. |
Input Event Impacts | Select a value from the dropdown for all the events impacted. The editable fields are displayed in green color. If the grid is full, refresh the page. |
Late and Unmet Demand | Volume of all demands that are either late or not aligned to a customer demand for various time periods. |

Grid Name | Description |
Resource Capacity | All supplier purchases required to be made for the production plan, especially for resources that are limited. The graph details Overtime Capacity Used, Regular Capacity Used, Regular Capacity Unused, and Overtime Capacity Unused. |
Under and Over Utilized Resources | Resources that are over and under utilization targets for different time periods. The graph also details Average Utilization percentage. |
Input Active Events | Select / unselect checkbox in Event Active? to include or exclude details of an event. |
Unavailable or Overused Resources | Volumes of Overtime Capacity Used and Capacity Required for Production but not available for various time periods. |
Key raw materials components

Grid Name | Description |
Raw Material Availability | All supplier purchases required to be made for the production plan for raw materials, especially for raw materials that are limited. |
Constrained Raw Material Supply | Raw materials that are limited. The graph details time periods where raw materials are completely consumed and consumption percentages. |
Configure Global Scenario Settings | Edit key settings related to scenario setup. Select / unselect checkbox to include or exclude details. |
Unavailable or Non-preferred Supplier Raw Materials | Volumes of Purchased from Other Suppliers and Required for Production but unavailable for various time periods. |
Note: Use legends to view information for any week. Select a legend to show its details in the chart. Hover the cursor over a chart legend to display the legend's values in the chart. Hover the cursor over the data curve to display the data point values.
Additional information
When you make modifications to a page or any associated pages in the app, these changes might not automatically update across related processes or scenarios.
Select Run Optimizer to integrate these changes and ensure consistency and accuracy across all pages. The display is updated to show the most current results based on the changes made. When you run the Optimizer, the updated data is copied to the respective processes of the selected scenario.
