Create and delete time horizons. Additionally, define resistance levels to help you plan changes.

The 965 – Manage Frozen Time Horizons page helps you to create, and delete multiple frozen time horizons, and map these to production orders. Defining resistance levels helps you to enhance planning and execution of different production processes and in managing demand and supply.

You can map up to three frozen time horizons that are displayed in the grid on the 260 - Firm Production Orders page.

Use the context selector at the bottom of the Define level of resistance to change table to select a production scenario.

To add a new frozen time horizon:

  1. Select Add new horizon.
  2. Enter a name in Display Name and then select Submit.
The new name is displayed in the Manage Frozen Time Horizons and Define level of resistance to change tables.

Select a production planning horizon from the dropdown in Mapping for UX display to align a frozen time horizon to a production order.

The Resistance Factor parameter determines the level of importance placed on adhering to the locked production horizon compared to other priorities. To define the level of resistance:

  1. Select a production scenario in the Define level of resistance to change table.
  2. Enter a value in Length of Horizon.
  3. Enter a resistance value in Resistance Factor (Downward deviation).
  4. Enter resistance value in Resistance Factor (Upward deviation)

To delete the selected frozen time horizons:

  1. Select a frozen time horizon process in the Manage Frozen Time Horizons table.
  2. Select Delete Selected Time Horizons - Process.
The selected frozen time horizon is removed from the tables.
