Override the duration of a process running on a specified resource, within a selected timeframe, for a selected location.

In 133 - Input Location Process Run-Time Override you can manually override the runtime of any process, by resource, and by time period, at a selected location.

This page contains functionality similar to the override in 120 - Input Processes Run-time data, but enables a production planner to do so at the manufacturing plant level.

A workspace administrator has set up the production planning model. This model should already include manufacturing plants, processes, locations, and resources to be used on this page. If not, you must first create them.

Your processes can be affected by seasonality or varying market conditions. You can set overrides for your resources to factor in a higher or lower manufacturing capacity. This can be due to planned maintenance, reduced or increased workforce capacity, or seasonality in demand. To set overrides:

  1. Use the context selector to set which processes display in the Override Run-times for Manufacturing Versions grid.
  2. Find the process and plant, for which you want to set an override. Note that each process branches into existing manufacturing plants.
  3. In the weekly calendar, locate the week(s) you want to override the runtime for.
  4. Select the Override location specific value? checkbox to switch on the override.
  5. Enter an Override Value. This replaces the default value set in 120 - Input Processes Run-time data.
  6. On the left side of the page, select Process Master Data Changes to save your changes.
  7. Repeat this process for any planned overrides of any resource.

Note: Use the context selector at the bottom of the Override Run-times for Manufacturing Versions grid to make changes to different planning scenarios.
