The 170 - Input top-down resource capacity page allows you to configure resources and set global shift patterns and associated parameters.

Use the context selector at the top of the page to filter the production plan data displayed.

The Resource Configuration table allows you to configure each resource:

Use resource profiles?Controls whether a resource profile is used.
Profile based on locationDisplays the profile based on the resource's location.
Override profileSpecify a profile to override the default profile. If the Use resource profiles? option is selected, the profile entered is itself overridden.
Overridden profileDisplays the profile overriden by the Override profile value. If the Use resource profiles? option is selected, the profile entered in the Override profile field is itself overridden.
Use resource global values?Controls whether the resource uses the global values set in the Set Global Values for Shift Patterns by Resource type table. If the Use resource profiles? option is selected, this option is unavailable.
Final profileDisplays the resource profile used for the resource after any configuration changes.
Force resource to be fully utilised?Controls whether the resource must be fully utilized.

The Set Global Values for Shift Patterns by Resource type table allows you to set global shift patterns and associated parameters.

  1. Select the context selector at the base of the table to filter on:
    • Regular: Filters days assigned as regular time.
    • Overtime: Filters days assigned as overtime.
  2. Specify the global values:
    • Days run per period
    • Shifts per day
    • Capacity per shift
    • Capacity limit
    • Operating Cost (per unit of Capacity)

You can specify a resource as being critical, by selecting the Set Critical resources for... box in the left-hand panel.
