Supply Planning processes

This page enables a system administrator to manage the settings within the Supply Planning app, at a global level. Each section of this page defines system default settings for each stage of Supply Planning.

This page displays product effectivity by location-product selection. The product master data drives product effectivity but is calculated at the location-product level and summarized on this page.

This page enables you to create and delete Days supply targets for inventory. These are the number of days for which a business wants to have sufficient stock on hand to meet demand.

This page manages the days supply categories for the inventory reporting across the rest of Supply Planning. You can create, edit, and delete categories.

This page defines the inventory age categories for the inventory reporting across your inventory planning dashboards.

This page defines the remaining shelf life (RSL) categories for inventory reporting across the Supply Planning App.

This page enables you to create and manage scenarios for DC Disaggregation Forecast Archiving.

This page displays and highlights whether there are any policy records that are disconnected from a parent record. You can select and delete orphan records here.

You can select a specific location in the Alerts panel to drill down to alerts across all the Product — Location dimension. 

This page enables the selection and display of alerts based on alert types across all products and locations. 

This page enable you to compare alerts across different scenarios.

This page shows the distribution center disaggregation from customer to location.

This page shows the distribution center disaggregation from specific customer x product to location.

This page shows the distribution center disaggregation volumes for a product across all locations.

This page shows all combinations of all Customer–Location present in the planning model.

This page shows combinations of all Product–Customer present in the system.

This page shows the disaggregation percentages at a Customer–Location level when the Disaggregation Bias is set to Fixed Disaggregation.

This page shows the final disaggregation volume output for a Product–Customer combination. You can identify product x customer combinations where the demand following disaggregation to a location doesn't equal the original demand fed into it.

The selector field provides all hierarchy levels. Users may either select the required location from the list displayed or manually enter the reference ID where known. The page also displays combined values for the selected hierarchy levels. 

This page enables you to review and adjust parameters for the management of forecast error correction. The corrected forecast error is used for the safety stock calculations. 

This page shows if history of the Product — Location follows a normal distribution. If the actual values are more closely spread around the mean than a normal distribution, the safety stocks values might be overstated. While, if the actual values were more evenly spread around, the safety stocks values might be understated. 

This page provides the Historic Cumulative Distribution Analysis of the Product — Location by comparing the Expected Normal and Actual Distribution. If the actual distribution isn't S-Curve, it indicates that the demand is highly variable and the inventory policy should be set to Fixed Quantity.

This page shows the values specified by the Input to Safety Stock parameter, where Z Value is variable ‌based on the service level.

This is a simulation page that displays the output values of the In-Transit Stock (R), Average Cycle Stock (R), Safety Stock (R) and Total (R) for all the Product - Location combinations at various service levels. 

The page controls how the forecast consumption should be removed from the forecast, where there's action demand for a future period. This makes sure actual demand, such as open orders, isn't treated as additional to the forecasted demand.

The Manage Inventory Policies page allows you to create inventory policy types and policies, and set each policy's parameters.

The Manage Scenarios page enables you to create different supply planning scenarios, by entering parameters and assumptions. For example, it can be used for "what-if" analysis, to understand the impact of different factors on the supply plan. 

The Inventory Policies by Segment page facilitates the customization of inventory policies based on the intersection of ABC and XYZ classifications. For example, high-value items with variable demand may require a different replenishment strategy compared to low-value items with stable demand.

The Manage Inventory Statuses page allows you to exclude products with specific statuses from available inventory. For example, include only the available products for inventory calculations, and exclude those marked as damaged or expired.

This page helps you to view all the purchase orders for an inventory scenario.

This page allows you to view the DC Inventory Plan by ‌scenario, location/product combination, and tier.

This page provides details of the supply/location planner key performance indicators (KPIs) to focus on a day-day basis.

This page helps you compare multiple scenarios to determine the best possible parameters to be set. 

This page displays a consolidated view of all Simulated Additional Receipts (U) for the selected product/location combination. 

This page displays a view of the Simulated Additional Receipts (U) values for a chosen scenario and location. 

This page enables you to plan to move an amount of inventory from one location to another. The process is manual, and used when the occasional requirement to move ‌inventory is identified. For example, in situations where out-of-the-ordinary rebalancing needs to take place.  

This page enables you to create new transfer lanes for the distribution centers. Transfer lanes specify the source and target distribution centers, with the source distribution centers on the vertical axis, and the target distribution centers on the horizontal axis.

This page enables you to delete transfer lanes for the distribution centers.

This page enables you to view and update the required transfer lanes for different transportation modes.

This page displays a network with standard arrangements for ‌locations that act as the primary source of inventory for other locations. It's defined in the application and then automatically processed by the implied sourcing flow.

The Inventory Aging Snapshot page provides key metrics about the status of your inventory. This includes how long each item of inventory typically spends in storage before being sold or used.

Use this page to display the remaining shelf-life (RSL) of your inventory, by product and distribution center. The page groups the shelf-life into different configurable bands for ease of viewing.

This page identifies inventory that has been manually recorded as expired in the inventory plan.

The page provides an overview of inventory planning activities, KPIs, and overall health of your inventory across different distribution centers.

This page provides a way of simulating your inventory aging, based on existing age categories.

This page displays inventory and remaining days supply by distribution center.

Use this page to setup parameters to determine how Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) calculations are performed.

On this page you can create new plant–process combinations and define which plant can perform which production processes. Additionally, you can view all existing combinations.

On this page, you can select a preferred sourcing strategy for a location, product, transport, and supplier combination based on the cost.

On this page you can respond to the sustainability criteria questions.

On this page, the supply planners / procurement managers can approve the supplier sustainability criteria. This criteria is based on the supplier response data from the Supplier Sustainability Input page.

This page enables the supply planner to analyze the sustainability overview of the suppliers. 

This page enables supply planners to view and manage the sustainability categories and questions. 

This page enables you to create, edit, and delete forecast archive records. These are the disaggregated forecasts from the product and customer combination in Demand Planning, to the product, customer, and location combination in Supply Planning.

This page enables you to carry out forecast accuracy analysis for a specified date range. You can analyze by plan, plan input, and period against actual demand in both unit and revenue terms. This provides valuable insight into the accuracy of each of the Consensus Plan's inputs. It also gives direction based on the selection by period when creating the plan.

Use this page to manage overrides and uplifts for your forecast product costs. This is done on a product by product basis, and enables you to adjust costs due to changing market conditions, cost of materials, among other reasons.
